The Chinese Cultural and Art Event

The event was organized in Canada to showcase the cultural and artistic richness of Chinese societies. During such an occasion, I managed to participate in the event as an observer and not as an active participant. Though the event aimed at showcasing the cultural and artistic aspects of the Chinese culture, a good number of participants were people from Canadian society. The outdoor event took place in Vancouver and offered a perfect opportunity for individuals from all walks of life to not only showcase their cultural and artistic aspect but also to learn from the rich Chinese culture and art. As usual, the primary, secondary, and sponsor-driven programs reigned at different intervals and occasions. The following are the essential components of the Chinese cultural and artistic fete that I participated in Vancouver.

The Primary Programming Elements

The organization of the event was anchored on the attaining two primary elements. From an expert opinion perspective, these two primary programming elements include using promoting Chinese culture and enhancing creativity through Chinese art. As an outdoor event, the programming was designed to give weight and prominence to various aspects of the Chinese culture through Chinese writings and culture as well as artistry. The distinction was given to the children who either participated in the creation of various artistic works or observing how such fetes got achieved. Thus, the programming was appropriate for the event since it gives the young participants to learn from the adults and subsequently have the liberty to apply whatever they have learned through a recreation of the artistic aspect related to the event. Again, there should be liberty for the audience to move around an effectively experience multiple aspects of development and aesthetic well-being. On the other side, concerning marketing, the promotion of the Chinese culture was knitted in the advertisements in preparation for the upcoming event in different ways. Again, the artistic part of the programming aligned to the marketing expectations through the liberty it accorded the individual participant to effectively and without any hindrance, engage in multiple aspects of art.

Secondary Programming Elements

Though there were varied secondary programming elements present during the event. This report would primarily focus on strictly on two of these aspects. These two programming elements entail musical performance and acrobatic activities. From an expert opinion perspective, the secondary elements were appropriate for the event to a great extent. Since the whole event was meant to celebrate the Chinese culture and art through drawings, compounding such an event with acrobatic and musical performances were not only justified but also set the pace for the coming events in varied ways. Thus, these secondary programming elements were useful in setting the pace on future events and also proved vital in giving the Chinese culture celebration its identity.

Based on the observable audience reaction, I can affirm that the audience was immersed in the Chinese musical performances and the acrobatic activities that preceded or tagged along with the whole event. These programming elements were not only entertaining but also highlighted the interconnection that exists between different cultural aspects to the audience. The seamless blending of these cultural aspects at the joy of the audience called for no improvements in the future as the feeling of satisfaction was evident among the different audiences. Again, from the marketing perspective, Chinese musical performances proved vital for the marketing strategy that was adopted. Since the majority of the audience and participants enjoy all the musical aspects of the Chinese culture, integrating it with acrobatics proved essential from the marketing perspective. Thus, the seamless aligning of the secondary programming elements to the event is perfect evidence that the programming was immensely effective. However, all the developments could have been improved through making the marketing approach in place by using a holistic approach in highlighting the cultural aspects pivotal to the success of such events.

Sponsor Driven Programming Element

The main sponsor-driven programming element was using the platform to effectively highlight the importance of peaceful coexistence through culture and art. The sponsors of the event were an NGO founded to promote coexistence among people from a tender age. From an expert opinion, such development was not only instrumental but also practical as most of the participants were drawn from all walks of life. Again, the audience registered satisfaction and encouraged such the sponsor to continuously organize such events to cement the already established relationships and simultaneously expand its scope. Therefore, if improvements were to be made, it should center on how such activities of the sponsor could be aligned to the existing marketing strategies to draw more participants and audiences. From the marketing perspective, the sponsorship initiative proved essential as its scope expanded to individuals from different walks of life. However, expanding the marketing strategy to permit the Indigenous Communities could have adequately met the broader objective of the coexistence.
