The book was a success during the author’s life as it transformed many of the women though it at point caused controversy.Since the writer was at some point getting resistant to traditional needs. In part, I of the book the March girls including Amy, Jo, Beth, and Meg are inspired by John Bunyan’s religious allegory to turn towards self-improvements by embarking on Pilgrimages.
