It’s been proving that culture is the shared forms of connections, cognitive fashion, and actions affecting comprehension that is learned through a process of socialization. The Philippines country is known to be deeply rooted in their culture. Many of a culture’s important characteristics makes a difference in their everyday way of life. However, these shared patterns, pinpoint the members of a culture group while also distinguishing those of other groups.  According to the reading, there are three major characteristics of a Philippine culture which includes foods, religion, and language. (Rodell, 2002). In order to learn other cultures, comes from being raised within the society. Therefore, it is a part of one ‘s nature or living amongst a community in order to learn clear of their culture.

 

Within the community culture can be established through foods and the different food items that are prepared. It can also be a form of relationship simple because food bring people together. The Philippines believe in “food culture’ because of the connection, beliefs, and experience the food have on their community.

They take great pride in their food! Simply because, the most loved food in their culture is” Rice” from the ways it cooked and all the dishes it’s eating with. This type of cookery is made every day and majority eats with every dish because it’s the country favorite.  The rice is often steamed, and any leftover rice is either fried with garlic or used for sinangag which is served for breakfast. (Rodell, 2002). Also, they do not believe it’s a full meal unless rice is prepared with it.

Religion have a powerful effect that brings faith and values together. This cause will create bonds for communities and have meaning behind them. In similarities, to other countries Philippines are extremely religious people. They are different because they only admit being the only Christian nation in Asia religious beliefs.  More than 86 percent of the population is Roman Catholic, 6 percent belong to various nationalized Christian cults, and another 2 percent belong to well over 100 Protestant denominations. (Miller, Jack 1965) Nevertheless, they are firm in their beliefs and believe in praying multiple time throughout their day.

Language is a strong characteristic to be a part of in any country. The language that’s spoken in the Philippines is a concrete form of communication. Their community thinks it’s the best way to be welcomed into their culture. Although, culture have different traits language is defined to have a major effect on that culture. Depending on the classification when communicating there are a total of 187 languages spoken in the Philippines. The official language is Filipino, and it is a consistent mixture of the Tagalog language, which is commonly used in the Austronesian regional.

 

Conclusively, the Philippines reference to culture and how its group connects and take pride in their traditions.  Whether they are eating once every hour or every three hours they enjoy food as apart of their culture. A religious cross will be represented in their homes no matter if its and image or a real one they are true to their religion. Respectful humans even when their communicating to elders their know for their language. This culture manages to keep their society alive and stick together with their community and value their traditions and beliefs.
