Quality presents a complex concept with varied meaning among organizations. Quality means excellence in measurable and immeasurable values. However, quality depends on the ability of a particular product or service to satisfy the presences of consumers. There are two main concepts of quality, namely biblical and traditional business concept of quality. This article will write about the differences between these two concepts of quality.

Biblical and traditional concepts of quality differ in a variety of ways. For instance, the biblical idea of quality emphasizes change in behaviour and attitude towards other people. According to Maguad, (2009), the Biblical concept of quality emphasizes administration transformation. It encourages penitence, reorientation of life, spiritual conversion and repentance, which is immeasurable. On the other hand, the traditional concept of quality emphasizes on individual performance based on ability and motivation (Madu, 2020). Achievement is measurable and relates to the ability to satisfy customer needs and expectations. As such, the two concepts of quality difference in terms of the measurability of their values.

Further, the biblical concept of quality implies that every decision made is of moral excellence. The biblical idea of quality implies actions that assert that the evaluate action has a moral variety (Bouillon, 2011). As such, the application of moral norms in an activity or decision is essential for the action to be of moral quality. On the other hand, the traditional concept of quality judge actions according to its contribution to the achievement of both short-term and long-term goals. As long as the action has a beneficial factor contributing to the success of the organization, it is a moral action. However, for the action to be ethical, it has to follow the business ethics of conduct. As such, these two concepts differ in terms of defining a moral act.

Conclusively, biblical and traditional business concept of quality differs in terms of defining a moral action as well as quality measurement values. Values used in measuring quality in the biblical idea of quality differ with valued used to measure traditional business quality concept in terms of their measurability. Finally, moral action in the biblical idea of quality emphasizes spiritual nourishment, while the traditional business concept of quality emphasizes on individual performance and organization’s ethics.
