The Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM)
The Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM) refers to a movement which offers support to immigration reform and the rights of United States immigrants. I have heard about the movement through a couple of people and have also read about it. It ensures that immigrants are accorded the civil rights they deserve. What interests me about the movement is the training that it offered kids so that they would take part in their protests all through the debates in 2013 and 2014. The fact that they protest peacefully is also interesting about the activist organization. This is important since it sets an excellent example to the society that issues can be approached maturely without having to use ways that will cause chaos. It is relevant because it makes the immigrants in the society feel part of the community at large. It plays a role in making immigrant families in the society feel appreciated and thought about instead of feeling discrimination from the government as well as people they live around with.
I will present my research using option B. I intend to use the narrative writing style. I will narrate a history of the movement and also outline its objectives. I will also include some images in support of my narratives.
Sharing this example will encourage many immigrants as well as non-migrants to put forth a call so that the lives of marginalized communities can be improved. Some of these communities are groups of ethnicity, race, gender and colour. It would contribute to a more just, sustainable, and loving world because it makes people feel comfortable in the environments they are in. All people feel represented in society regardless of their status. It brings fairness, and people live in harmony without looking down upon each other.
