The Mind-Brain Problem
Introduction
Neuroscience has led to the contribution of understanding the cognitive psychological nature of a person since it has played a considerable role in shaping the people’s brain, mind, and also the body. The behaviors of people in our country have brought out the mindset problems, and neuroscience has demonstrated to be the best mechanism to detect cognitive problems. The mechanism has also helped people to understand brain development. Since the mid-1980s, there was a report on cognitive deficiency, especially young children (Pennington & VanDoornick, 1985). The report brought in skepticism to the doctors simply because no one imagined of mechanism that would detect that kind of a problem.
Neuroscience
Neuroscience is a branch of science that explains more about the functionality of the brain and also helps in the detection of brain problems. According to the World Health Organization, thirty-three percent of the population worldwide suffers from a mental disorder, and this has led to an increase in criminal cases and suicidal issues.
The existing brain imaging methods are helping the psychologists and the physician to understand the functionality of the brain (AR Brunoni &MA Nitsche, 2012). The brain imaging method is also used to detect any mental abnormality and help in assisting in the diagnosis of any foreseen mental disorder. Polygraphs are the current brain imaging methods that help in recording of psychological responses of an individual (Claudio Bbilioni &John Polich, 2007). There is also another mechanism used to measure brain electrical activity through the mind electrodes that are attached to the scalp. The devices accurately detect hidden knowledge and bring back individuals’ memory.
In conclusion, mental instability, especially to the young generation, is increased, and the current neuroscience mechanism and brain imaging methods can be adapted to curb the current issue. The mental disorder should be handled with care to reduce the cases of crimes as well as suicidal instances.
