Place the pioneer in a historical context, identifying and explaining social, economic and political factors that may have influenced thinking and action.
Include a critical overview of the pioneer’s work.
Use primary and secondary sources to support your points and ideas.
Be presented using the conventions and style of an academic poster (as discussed in the lecture)
Reflection (1000 words)
To pass, the essay will:
Write a 1000 word essay to critically reflect on the impact and influence of your chosen pioneer in relation to education and to other key educational figures.
Include a coherent and logical argument about the significance of the pioneer’s key work and ideas.
Consider the potential short and long term impact and influence of the pioneer’s ideas on education.
Use primary and secondary sources to support your argument and reflection.
Will make justified and reasoned connections to other figures and educational practice.
Be written in a coherent style, using a logical structure and appropriate conventions.
Conclusion (approx. 250 words)
Using your knowledge from the three extracts, draw together your thinking about your pioneer.
