The real-life leadership and management experience it is not an easy task, but for those who seek dedicatedly for advancement purpose cam achieve it. In line with this, I believe that every personality can succeed if they prepare themselves sufficiently for another transformational level in their Career. Therefore, the purpose of professional development activity is to enhance the knowledge and skills required in the global market. In this case, I performed a professional development activity based on an internship program in West Pac Banking Group. The one who offered the expertise, knowledge, and skills was the current working manager. Besides, the event was held on 15th November 2019 and  21st November 2019. It was an entry moment in my Career, considering the professional development activity,  it was boosted by communication skills through listening, speaking, and writing. The communication skills are the necessities in carrying out this activity. The way you observe turn-taking, your response to a various cognitive set of questions are polished by the professional development activity. Besides, it improved my analytical and research skills how I was taking time to analyze different contexts, thinking of all possible scenarios and asking for additional time and some research for deriving a concrete solution to various questions asked by the Resource Manager of Westpac Banking Group, thus, improved my analytical and research skills. Looking at the ability of a human resource manager in identifying complex problems in the workplace and further implementing the solution to these concerns had intrinsic value in my professionalism. Also, I got to learn how how to plan my work. I paid particular attention to the way employees of WestPac Banking Groups carried their tasks and ensuring that all deadlines given are achieved. Similarly, understanding which tasks to prioritize and which one to do later is a fundamental skill.

During the process, there are some essential aspects that I learned the most regarding professional development activity. Firstly, professional development activities showcase your will to enhance. In this case, taking the initiative of planning and investing in my training program highlighted a problem-solver depicting commitment to skill acquisition despite the context. For this reason, employers often look favorably upon workers who can recognize and act upon their limitations.  As a result of this, there are promotion opportunities, increment in salary and wages enhanced professional flexibility always await those who pursue continuous learning. Secondly, I got a chance to network with like-minded professionals. Westpac groups channel a great opportunity in gaining inspiration as well as networking with others.

Similarly, engaging in discussions with other attendees concerning their Career and compy led to new partnering, collaborating opportunities, including new job offers. Despite the benefits arising from the professional development activity, there are factors that I liked the least. Professional development activities are costly. Considering my fellow attendees who had to come from different geographic areas to meet at the WestPac Bank group regarded as the central location for training, they incur a lot of transportation costs. Also, the decline in the level of productivity. Statistically, most attendees that attended the training were employees. This implies that despite the fact of getting well equipped with additional insights regarding their professionalism, there is a decline in the level of productivity in their companies because they are not working. Again, there are several benefits of participating in these development activities. Firstly, they keep your qualifications updated. The most perspective that we learned from disruptive technologies and approaches affirm that we need to reskill ourselves. This can be achieved by attending numerous professional development activities that give new methods and trends that should be emulated to remain valuable in the market.
