The American Revolution had a significant change in the political aspects of the United States. The most significant immediate consequence was the gaining of independence as well as the creation of state constitutions. After the war ended, the states were free from British rule. Hence, they formed a centralized government and elected their leader (Greene 818). Besides, before the occurrence of the Revolution. The US political life encountered a drastic change after independence. For example, there was increased participation in politics and governance by all people compared to previous years. Besides, more citizens assumed significant roles both in the local as well as the state administration. The hierarchy within the states underwent a considerable transformation which made the American society to be less aristocratic. Also, new nations drafted written constitutions that replaced the unwritten British laws. The formation of strong legislatures and somewhat weak governors relatively increased the electorate size. Besides, all free men participated in voting regardless of whether they owned property. Therefore, it is evident that the American Revolution caused a radical change in US politics.

In the economic perspective, the American Revolution ended mercantilism. Previously the British empire imposed various restrictions on the colonial economies such as trade, manufacturing as well as settlement (US History). The Revolution opened new markets and established new trade relationships. The victory resulted in the opening of the western territories, which formed new domestic markets. Hence, Americans started manufacturing their products without relying on Britain. Besides, women could participate in businesses, which previously was a rare phenomenon. Therefore, after the war, everyone took part in the development of the US economy regardless of gender.

The American Revolution caused significant changes in various sectors of US society. The movement enhanced the rights of everyone, including women. There was the abolition of slavery, and American politics took a new shape. The economy expanded due to the creation of new domestic markets. Indeed, the American Revolution was a radical movement because it focused on changing the existing social, political, and economic orders.
