There is no authentic evidence that proves this to be true.

Another legendary story is the “curse of Lake Lanier,” which involves a lake that people believe is haunted due to the number of lives it has claimed. There are several articles by different authors that support this theory, while others do not agree. Some reports suggest that the lives lost in lake Lanier was just an unfortunate accident and not because the lake is cursed. The legendary story is similar to the Bigfoot story in that in both stories; some people believe the legendary is real and those who think they are false. The two stories tend to show similarities when it comes to the pieces of evidence presented. Both the stories have no portion of unquestionable evidence to back up the several claims of different authors. Another similarity is the presence of fake evidence to back the stories. For instance, in the bigfoot story, the footprints seen were later discovered to be false similarly in the story of lake Lanier; it is found that the lake was built in 1956, discrediting the claim that the lake experienced a massive accident in 1903 hence being cursed.

The two legendary stories also present several different facts; for instance, the Bigfoot story is backed up by the existence of various strange creatures in the past according to several cultures. The animals are said to resemble humans or apes. In the story of Lake Lanier, there is no past evidence of the existence of another cursed lake. The lake Lanier story is based on several mythical stories written by different authors. In contrast, the Bigfoot story is based on an actual video recording, which remains to be the best piece of evidence presented to date. “The curse of Lake Lanier” also has several contradicting stories explaining why the lake is considered as cursed. These theories include the claim that when the lake was built, the army moved about twenty cemeteries; hence the lake remained haunted. A different writer also says that the lake is haunted because it contains an entire submerged town beneath. In the Bigfoot story, no contradictory stories are discrediting the existence of Bigfoot.

In conclusion, legendary stories are based on the beliefs of human beings and are aimed at preserving the cultural heritage. The existence of Bigfoot and the curse of Lake Lanier stories will remain to be debatable even in the future until more evidence is found to provide proof.
