The above publication focuses on the case of medication adherence as well as the use of generic drug therapies among patients and drug suppliers. Concerning thyroid diseases, the research paper has focused on patient adherence to the prescribed medications for the underlying conditions. The approach used in measuring the adherence was the medical possession ratio i.e., MPR, where patients found to have the prescribed drugs were observed to have a higher adherence as compared to those with a lower MPR.
