Traditional vs. agile PM discussion

- Please make sure to discuss diverse techniques in traditional, agile and adaptive approaches to PM. In your discussion, it is absolutely essential to demonstrate critical evaluation – so you should not just repeat thoughts of other authors but rather critique and challenge them based on your own experience, observations and/or ideas. 2. Dedicating only one or two paragraphs to a discussion of your own experience and observations from your workplace is profoundly insufficient. Aim at 50%+ of the report to be based on those. 3. Identification and explicit comparison of advantages, disadvantages and areas of applicability of both approaches (traditional vs. agile PM) is another aspect thought after in this assignment. A good style in both academic and professional reporting is to arrange some of your thoughts into comparative tables with columns such as advantages, limitations, areas of applicability, references. Although you are welcome to develop your own approach to these tables, feel free to use the following templates: – Table 1: Comparison of PM techniques. See here. – Table 2: Applicability of PM techniques in your specific workplace. See here. Please note that there can be more than these two tables only. Be creative in your assessments. 4. Also, do not forget to develop various diagrams illustrating your analysis of the relevant PM techniques. Ideally, these should not be generic figures copy-pasted from textbooks or websites, but those adapted/extended to the context of your workplace or industry.
