Type 2 Diabetes Prevention
Three minute thesis
You are required to prepare and record a succinct 3 minute oral presentation consisting of a critical review of the PRECEDE framework together with how the framework will inform your chosen health issue and your specific target group (for assessment 2). This should be a thought provoking presentation not just a summary. The focus is on the PRECEDE framework and not on your health issue – to score well this must be clearly articulated. You will present in video format and receive audio feedback from your tutor with a mark. You will need to prepare two parts: a) one (1) Powerpoint slide and a 3 minute talk which articulates a critical review of the main points presented, examples or ways in which the content you have researched can be applied to the PRECEDE framework and your target group. [unique_solution]Make sure you finish with a key take home message; AND b) a 1.5 page (A4, 1.5 line spacing) written summary of your talk. It must be written in an academic style and include references to support the content (APA 6th edition, the references are NOT included in the 1.5 page limit). To score well you must show you have been critical in your presentation and written submission and have applied the lecture, readings and other resources into your slide content.
A short video outlines what you are required to do and can be accessed here.
