Urban vs rural living

People who live in large cities and towns which are highly populated and filled with different activities are said to be living an urban life. In this areas there are so many people and many activities taking place and life move at a very high pace and mostly people living here act like strangers because they are all from different parts the world who meet at the urban center and so their interaction seems to have certain limits. While people who live outside the cities and don’t stay near big towns are known to be living a rural life. The pace of life in this areas is a bit slower people are involved in intense interactions with each other and the population is low as well.

In the urban areas people appreciate diversity. The cities and the towns have people from different religions, who don’t hold the same cultural ideas and even people with different sexual orientation and the good thing is that people who stay in these areas incorporate the idea of differences very well. People are civilized in urban areas and they accept and even inter mingle with each other despite the differences that they may hold.

Rural areas on the other hand are characterized by people who hold on to traditions and sometimes superstitious ideas as well. They are bound to their own kind, people with same cultural beliefs and even the sexual orientation has to remain to what they think is moral. They don’t easily accept differences among them.

Rural life is quiet and peaceful. People here don’t move from place to place carrying out lots of activities and there are minimal or none industries in this place. So this means people don’t get disrupted from their daily routines by noises from firms and such. There is certain kind freedom that reigns in rural areas.of  Life in the urban centers is loud in all aspects. Every area is buzzed with people and several activities. People move in a competition to a better life with high living standards.

When you are privileged enough to be among the urban inhabitants you are known to belong to the most exposed group. Urban lifestyle reaps people off naivety, presents modern facilities to them like the internet, gyms, television, well equipped areas of entertainment even the recreational areas are way in high on another level. Urban living gives people evolve social skills and helps people living it learn to handle in a modern and civilized way. In rural places there is limit to exposure. Although people get to explore rivers and swim, ride horses in ample spaces and live in houses with large spaces with little costs the exposure they get is still very little. Mostly they come to the world handling with so much empathy with it in a way it’s all looked at as being naïve and uncivilized.

Education quality in the urban sides is high. There is availability of resources, teaching equipment’s are highly modernized and the teachers in urban areas are exposed to the bright side of the world and their approaches are effective. In rural areas schools lack enough funds, the learning and teaching facilities available are so inappropriate or even in some cases inadequate. Therefore the schools in rural areas cannot provide the kind of education that urban areas do.

Urban areas are more preferred by investors for developmental growth. Due to the large population people are more innovative and come up creative strategies to solve work related activities and many people who want their business to grow fast they set it up in urban areas. So we can say that job opportunities are more available in this areas and this result to high living standards. However in rural areas job opportunities are very less. The areas don’t have any facilities to hold up business activities and hence no one thinks of setting up their business there and this is proof why people live in low life standards there.

The cost of living in rural areas is low. The food is readily available since its manufactured directly from firms and this makes it cheap and the same case applies to the housing costs, the education costs among others. People here build their own houses and don’t have to pay monthly mortgage fee or any rent for that matter. Urban life is expensive in general. People have to pay absolutely for everything and the expenses are relatively high in urban areas.

People living in rural areas get involved with each and are concerned with the emotional welfare of each other. They look out for each other and show deep lengths of caring. In urban everyone is self- centered and looks forward to the survival line and cares less how many people are going to make it through to the surviving side.

In conclusion as much as rural life may offer unlimited kind of freedom and present an affordable type of life, there is so much in the cities that people should look up to. And again am sure city life and big towns entices everyone. But since we can’t all fit in one road direction at the same time people should feel contended with where they find themselves living and make best out of it.
