Various tools teachers use when teaching to ensure the study aligns with the elements in the process of teaching
A teacher is a vital character in the society. Teachers necessitate the gaining of knowledge in various fields, enabling people to achieve their dream career or either plan. Thus, meeting the academic needs of the students is the duty of the teacher, in any manner. Teachers take to the root of the trained process to ensure the learners finally grasp the point. There are various tools teachers use when teaching to ensure the study aligns with the elements in the process of teaching. Some of these items include checklists, templates, and rubrics.
Templates are always in the diagrammatic form and give teachers the direction to absolutely follow. Models are vital because they are records of the past were stored for future references. As an administrator, it will use the templates for various reasons. First, I will use it for reference (Bowman et al., 2018). The model will be helpful when tracing back and check how things are done. For example, I will confirm how students must be taught to get the point home. The templates are mostly in tabulated form and having some content in it that one can refer to, accordingly. Also, I will use the model to show students how they need to participate when taught in class. These templates also have parts that cater to learners. Learners must be given directions to understand what to do and follow accordingly (Duke, 2017). Models are beneficial when it comes to providing specific content one at a time. Both learners and teachers know what is to be done at what time. Therefore, both parties must work on giving the final required solution. Finally, is will use templates in connecting what is known to what is unknown for the learners to cooperate fully. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page
A rubric is another element that I will use as a teacher to give directions on how questions must be answered. Rubric contributes to the grading system of the examinations administered. Most examiners have their requirements when it comes to answering the questions. Also, generally, different subjects have various ways of answering questions. For example, science subjects need short and direct answers when compared to other items like languages and humanities (Gilliam, 2014). I will use the rubric in categories to ensure the point is driven home. As a science teacher, I will come up with a drawn rubric for the class, for students to follow when I always administer examinations. For the science subjects, I will have for parts. The first part will be 10% requiring students to have a proper format of their work to be done. Also, 45% will be the other part that asks students to be keen on how they approach questions in giving answers. There will be 15% for grammar and plagiarism. If the student would not have checked their grammar and plagiarism percentage, they will be penalized the 15% for that reason. Finally, there will be 30% given for the flow of work. Also, for a student to get a grade A, they must attain at least a 70% mark in their test (Hanushek et al., 2019). Those who fail would have scored from 40% and below. Rubric makes it simple for students to know how to look for targets to attain. Even when a student has no content, they will ensure they have excellent grammar and zero plagiarism to earn some marks.
Finally, a checklist is vital for teachers in their work. A list is an assessment tool for teachers and helps in improving the learning process. As a teacher, I will use checklists in aligning the learning process because it has various benefits at the end. For example, younger children would be accustomed to following steps when using a list. Also, the older students are helped by the checklist for the sake of memorizing (Miksic, 2014). After doing away with obstacles to success using checklists, students feel accountable for themselves. Also, students stay focused when I use the list because they will keep reminding themselves of what they learned. Just like the rubric, I will use the checklist in getting the details about the examinations that I administer, but this time on a different level.
In conclusion, teachers must ensure that the information is passed to the learners accordingly. Learners need to connect what is known as the unknown for easy understanding. Therefore, using things like rubric, templates, and checklists would help in making the points clear to the students. Also, teachers will have an easy time at work, and quality results would be achieved. It does not matter the channel; students would go through when using the tools because they will actualize the final product. Students are trained to have their studies through the three instruments, the rubric, the checklist, and the templates, because they are swift and easy to comprehend, accordingly. Learners need quality from the teachers, who have to focus on giving the best. The teachers should use the tools necessary for work in the right manner. Therefore, templates, rubrics, and checklists are preferable, accordingly.
