Verbal language sets the core for the writing and reading skills young ones will develop at the beginning and all through their schooling. Oral communication is used mostly in many different aspects of learning from making new friends in school, communicate with their teachers and peers all through the learning period till they graduate.

Given all that is on stake a good and strong foundation in language to children will enable them to be successful in their education and social life as it makes them powerful communicators and fluent readers. This hugely boosts their well being and self-confidence that propels them through life.

Parents also should understand that the children are different in many different ways, and the language the child speaks reflects the values, experiences, and identity of the child’s community. They should also engage the children as if they are having a conversation as it helps them develop even if they are not able to speak yet. Peer learning is also an essential aspect of early childhood language development, encouraging interaction among different age groups enables the child to develop quickly and can translate it to later life(Gardephe). Also supporting the play among these children help them develop language skills. Before the children can be taught an assessment should be done to determine the needs of different children given how well they have developed. Children learn fast from each other, but the adults are the main sustainers of the language development period.

There are many ways and strategies that parents can apply to ensure that child language development in young children goes well. Some of them are telling stories to them, coming up with a story that is of your child’s interest complete with conflict, adventure, and a happy ending and will enhance how your child picks up information and develops(Genishi).

Another aspect is enjoying music and activities together. It is by default that kids love music, and when they interact with it, they learn a lot about the world they are and the rhythm people dance to.

It is essential to note that it is wrong to criticize your child’s speech patterns or articulations(Law et al.). Instead, repeating what he or she said with the correct statement will help them amends without feeling bad. Following their lead is essential if you find that your child is interested in cars to show them more of the vehicles and ask questions and interact freely and they will learn fast. Parents are crucial to unlocking the child’s future so make sure the early childhood learning, the better the child is, the better the future and the opposite is true.
