In life, different people encounter different challenges and experiences. This is because a good life includes a mixture of different traditions, values as well as different cultures and politics. It is these experiences that make us who we are today, and it can be argued that all individuals have been a victim of bullying in one way or another in their life. However, how one is able to handle individual experiences and stages in their life is the most important factor that victims of bullying should consider.

In my life, I have experienced many challenges, and I can confirm that I have been a victim of bullying. Being a victim of bullying, my life has been shaped differently, including how I interact with others, my actions, as well as my preferences and values in life, have been developed by my past bullying experiences. However, I have to admit that bullying experiences have made me learn several skills in life. For example, I have learned that everyone should have good morals and the ability to appreciate others. I have also learned that compassion, kindness and respect are some of the great values in life that those who bully other lack in their life.

As a victim of bullying, I believe that it is difficult to grow and maintain a positive relationship in a social setting with bullies. I experienced bullying mostly during my adolescent years. However, today bullying is an emerging problem, and it occurs in all stages of life. Children are the primary victims of bullying, especially in school, when they are away from their parents’ protection. The bullies understand their victims, and they engage in various forms of bullying depending on their victim. You must understand that there are different methods of bullying, including physical, verbal and the use of social media, which is currently prevalent due to high technology and innovations among the youths and school-going children. Victims of bullying argue that the bullies usually inflict injury and pain on them repeatedly and intentionally. This is dangerous to the social development of a child, and victims of bullying must be advised on how to deal with the bullies.

Victims of bullying include girls and boys, and it is mainly prevalent among high school students. Currently, bullying is viewed as one of the major widespread problems since it affects individuals around the globe to a high intensity. Victims of bullying experience a number of consequences and it is the role of the teachers and parents to ensure that their children are not bullied. Children who are victims of bullying usually feel intimated and humiliated in their life. However, it would be best if you understood that with the right to guidance and training, children can acquire necessary skills that can help them manage the harmful effects of bullying in their life. However, it is important that we understand the main causes of bullying before we delve on how to solve it.

Bullying is mostly witnessed in the form of an aggressive behavioural pattern among school-aged children, and it implicates a power imbalance in society. School bullying occur when children usually their power to intimidate and control others. In most cases, you must understand that the victims of bullying are at a significant risk. This is because they experience several challenges such as psychological disorders including depression, anxiety and substance abuse. You must understand that victims of bullying feel isolated, and they may have suicidal thoughts. They can also engage in some self-harm challenges if not controlled. In the school environment, victims of bullying will feel intimidated as well as feel that the school environment is unsafe for them. This means the victims of bullying may stat to avoid going to school. Some of the signs that may indicate that your child is a victim include his or her reluctant to go to school, feeling sick, having nightmares and having no interest in hanging out with friends and avoiding social situations. If you see your child coming home with unexplained injuries, he or she may be a victim of bullying as well. Victims of bullying also depict high levels of low self-esteem and may seem irritable. In some cases, victims of bullying may also report losing his or her belongings in school, his or her grades will decline, and he or she will finally show no interest in school.

 

As a parent, it is your role to protect your children from bullying. You must understand that victims of bullying are children with low social skills, and they stand out to be different. Victims of bullying are also sensitive, and they mostly express their weaknesses to others. Ensure that your child is not easily upset, and they engage with others in social settings. Victims of bullying body language usually appear weak, and you must ensure that your child is strong and have high self-esteem to avoid being an easy target for bullying. Understand that most of the communication among kids is based on non-verbal methods, and your child should depict strong body language. Encouraging your child to be active in social settings will also help them adopt assertive skills which are essential in avoiding bullying from others.

Bullies know that victims of bullying appear quiet and shy and your child should not appear withdrawn in social settings. It is also important that you encourage your child to work in collaboration with friends as this prevents bullies from intimidating them. Recent research studies also indicate that victims of bullying mostly come from over-protective homes, and you must avoid over-protective methods when dealing with your child. Ensure that your child does not have a self-blame mentality despite any weakness in their life. They should also not appear frightened and encouraged them to report to you any form of bullying from friends. This will help you to understand their weaknesses and how to deal with it. You must know that bullying is a common problem and children who experienced bullying in their school environment may want to avoid school.
