Waste management is a major global issue. Waste creation is continuous with the growing urbanization and industrialization. However, organizations have come up with methods proven to turn waste into useful products. The UNSW university industry in Sydney turns e-waste into valuable metals, some of which were used to create Olympic medals. Organizations in Australia used recycled plastics, glass, and asphalt to build a 250-ton road in North Melbourne. Dresden Optics of New Zealand uses granulated plastic waste to manufacture spectacle frames. Another form of waste management is observed in a Victorian company that turns plastics into durable outdoor products, substituting wood. However, researchers are on the way to discover methods of neutralizing radioactive waste.
