The week’s coverage reflected on the aspect of ethics of leadership and modern management and leadership. Besides, the reflection during the week majored on various concepts associated with professional inspiration on leadership and essentiality in influencing positive transformations in an organization. Precisely, the aspect of ethicality as a leader, professional inspiration on leadership, and modern management and leadership formed the significant concepts covered during the week. This paper reflects on the week’s primary coverage and how the ideas covered will help me in perfecting my profession as a high school program director.
The concept of modern management and leadership was crucial reflection whose essentiality towards enabling me to perfect my professional duties cannot be overlooked. The article on leadership and the fear factor centered on gives an in-depth analysis of the basic theoretical concepts on the aspect of leadership and management and their essential role in any organization (Maccoby et al., 2004). As a director, the idea gives an insight into the essentiality of considering both ‘management’ and ‘leadership.’ Arguably, integrating theoretical concepts associated with both management and leadership will enable me to influence positive transformations within the school.
Secondly, the concepts covered about leadership and inspiration are essential in facilitating my day-to-day endeavors. Being a risk-taker, humbleness, and consensus-building are some of the crucial characteristics of successful leaders (Eliason, 2020). I will apply such concepts to enable me to perfect my duties. As a worker in the school, the aspect of inspiration should be fundamental. The ideas give an insight into the essentiality of inspiring those surrounding me not only in the school setup but also in the larger society. From the concepts, I understand that I should always my colleagues at the place of work and also the students that I interact with. Through such inspiration, I will be able to influence positive transformations within society. The trailer used as an additional resource emphasizes on the need to remain hopeful (Bros, 2014). Such inspiration is perfect in enabling me to persevere and aim higher as far as professional goals are concerned.
