Whether nuclear power is beneficial for people ‘s life or not

Nuclear power is used global but put following the issue as to if it is higher profitable than dangerous. Nuclear power exists the method of Atom-powered reactions that produce a form of energy in the United States, producing about twenty per cent of the country ‘s electricity. Controversy related to the use of nuclear power has gradually escalated, as some may consider it more harmful, while others may disagree on the matter. In this paper, I will persuade you to vote for people who agree that nuclear power is dangerous for people’s life.

First of all, nuclear power is of high consumption, which means that the construction and maintenance of nuclear power generation and other aspects require an expensive expenditure. A piece of news about the UK on the cost of nuclear energy shows UK taxpayers currently subsidize nuclear directly to the tune of more than £1billion per year. But the indirect support such as decommissioning and insurance are far more significant. In the UK, the charge of dismantling early nuclear is now considered to be at least £73 billion. Actual UK reactors protected to the number of £140 million each, which the government is talking about increasing to £1.2 billion, but that’s still nothing like enough to cover a severe accident such as the Fukushima incident(AlexisRowell, 2). Therefore, nuclear power is not cheap planning for the government.

Additionally, the production of nuclear power is the risk of horrific nuclear explosions in power plants. Even the protection law is maximizing, but it can’t avoid the accident. The danger of disaster is affecting both humans and the environment. The more nuclear power plant building, the higher the probability of a meaningful breakdown disaster in the world.  The Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded and got damaged by fire on 26th April 1986. Then the radiation was released in a wide area of Europe countries. The victims are thirty-one death people because of the explosion. Hundreds of thousands of people moved to a different area, and few of them suffered from the effect of nuclear radiation. Single radiation of about one grey can create radiation illness. The dangerous consequences effected by atomic diffusion are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and bleeding. When people near that thermonuclear radiation area, they may die in several hours or days. Those serious effects are depending on the level of exposure. (Rogers,1).Most newly, the Fukushima Daiichi disaster came to mind in 2011. Hence, these significant accidents are not only damage to the environment, but also the impact on people’s lives and health, and even fatal blow to the entire city.

Furthermore, nuclear waste influence people’s health and security. The substance has a high level of radiation, and since “nuclear waste is the material that nuclear fuel becomes after it is used in a reactor(Touran,1).” If not handled properly, it may leak into the environment, which may subsequently cause irreparable damage to the environment and people who come into contact with it. The risks of exposure to nuclear waste are catastrophic. In regards to plants, animals, and individuals, exposure to radioactive waste can create cancer, hereditary problems, and death. But because there is always the possibility of error in nuclear waste generation, storage and disposal, there is still the risk that waste is somehow being exposed to the environment. Terrorist practice another warning from atomic waste for terrorist attacks. This terrorist act could have huge effects on the whole world. Hence, Nuclear waste has vast potential dangers for the wrong situation.

In conclusion, nuclear power is harmful to human life. The creation of nuclear power is risky and appears with many negative consequences. Nuclear disasters are tragedies that are unlike any other in history and are unnecessary. The effects of atomic waste exposure are immeasurable and create long-lasting legacies of destruction, fear, and pain. The world seems not to rely on nuclear energy slowly enough for it to be a necessity.  For peace and safety, governments must act to control the use of atomic energy.
