The author extensively employs logos in his article to convince his audience that setting a high age limit only makes the youth desire to drink alcohol and once they get the chance, they drink it with no precaution. He uses rhetorical elements like hyperbole, to achieve pathos. For instance, he claims that even if a youth is in his mansion in Rhode Island, with a legal ward and gun, he is still not allowed to take alcohol.
