It was found that classifying people with their pronunciation bears more weight more than just visual prompts to ethnicity. It is so exciting to see people attach features of character in various accents which are experienced in the current worlds population. In a study carried out by psychology from Chicago university show that children also have different attitudes towards accents. The research shows fascinating answers after the children were shown photos and small audio clips and were asked to choose who they would love to be friends with. The children selected the picture, but the most surprising thing is that they never did it based on the accent. This kind of dialect has so many perceptions and stigmas because people mostly categorize people by their region. There are different stereotypes related to this dialect as people from different areas consider themselves to be better than other groups. The controversy in this kind of a dialect is that many may perceive it as being grammatically not collect.
Linguistics perceive this kind of dialect as a form of English which is no more correct compared to other customs of English. From the linguistics point of view, regional dialect is just an English dialect that people of particular regions speaks.
