The Beauty of Abstraction: Cubism and Abstract Art

Abstraction is the thought process in which ideas are distanced from objects. The concern of the beauty of abstraction is essential in the creative discipline today because it helps mind abstracts to be understood, validated, or questioned. The ideology is resourceful, in validating and questioning concepts. In its beauty, abstraction has helped to evolve cubism art building upon the artist’s learning one at a time. By abstraction, 21st-century artists got the fundamental building blocks to help them understand, learn, and connect their arts with religious beliefs and culture.  It also helped in joining the pieces of art to political, cultural, social, or spiritual significance, as noted in cubism arts.

Representation of abstraction in the historical period is slightly different from contemporary illustration. In the past, the concern was shown through concepts of mathematical beauty and abstractions of reality in the arts. In this case, the philosophical concepts helped the artists to think critically, understand, and validate ideas and then represent them in arts. By mathematical beauty, the artist made difficult things simple, converted the unknown to known, and solved the impossible in beautiful ways. The contemporary artists have used the philosophical concept in as abstraction reality of logic being the best evidence that philosophy itself can show as a kind of creativity. In this case, the artist has indeed been creative using diverse cubism techniques such as synthetic and analytical. Further, as noted in abstraction arts, contemporary abstraction arts involves the use of shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to attain the desired effect. This is contrary to historical arts that represented an accurate depiction of visual reality. As observed from the art bellow, abstraction art involves emphasis on flat, two-dimensional surface pictures.
