United States of America and Ross Ulbricht case

The case involved the United States of America and Ross Ulbricht, who was alleged to have created a website that engaged in illegal online business. Ross Ulbricht created a website and named it as Silk Road. The site was created with a general purpose of providing the online users with direct access to the products and services, as thy purchase and sell them without being disclosed. The Silk Road website was, therefore, suspected to be conducting prohibited online transactions such as marketing and buying of illicit drugs and brews (Gundert, 2010). The allegations led to a comprehensive and extensive investigation that was done to understand the objectives of the created websites. The investigations resulted in several inquiries that concluded that it was an authentic Silk Road website was illegally operating and running unauthorized businesses. The prove found that Ross Ulbricht created the site with interest in conducting the online businesses whereby some of them facilitated the access of personal data, which helped in personal hacking accounts. Undoubtedly, the comprehensive probe confirmed that Ross Ulbricht was the mastermind behind the creation of the Silk Road website, and the trial against him was started.

The federals started searching the website on his computer and found it was true that he was the one chatting them. Therefore, the trial was made in a period not exceeding three weeks, and the suspect was found guilty of the offense of opening an illegal website. It was therefore affirmed that Ross Ulbricht was the creator and founder of the Silk Road that had attracted many online users and primarily the internet criminals. The case seemed to be complicated and contentious even though Judge Forrest was able to manage the lawsuit. He had commendable skills that helped him in managing the trial. All the evidence collected during the investigation was tabled and affirmed that the criminal had maintained the top-notch website infrastructure that helped them in conducting the illegal activities anonymously. They, therefore, entered the library and found it was Ross Ulbricht, who was chatting them through his business laptop. They arrested him and convicted the computer that could serve as a source of evidence during further trials of the suspected.

The suspect was tried and was found accountable for creating such an anonymous website that conducted a broad spectrum of illegal online businesses. The case was handled by Judge Forrest, who had commendable skills and experience in managing that particular lawsuit. The evidence was tabled during the trial and had several conclusions.
