During my internship program, I was capable of understanding various elements relating to the monitoring of weather. It is essential to realize that almost every shift begins with a thorough check on the wealth as well as the remainder of the change consist of periodic inspection to determine if the weather has changed at all. I was capable of checking the visibility at their departure airport as well as conditions at the destination airport.

Ongoing Considerations
Although there were several signs of progress I made during my internship, and I was capable of understanding that there are various elements that I need to put into consideration. I feel that I still need to develop my confidence level in the future before I become a flight dispatcher entirely. I would have enjoyed learning should there be enough time to improve and take full action as a flight dispatcher. Moreover, developing excellent communication skills and familiarity with dispatching and call routing software are some of my priorities to improve upon completion of my studies.
Challenges Faced
Ideally, I believe that getting the right internship should be a solution to the problem that may affect the initial experience for the first career trial. Substantially, this is because most of the interns are enthusiastic about such opportunities, although it can be a new set for the tribulations experienced by an individual. Various challenges can be experienced during this process of learning that needs to be put into consideration. This is the first time to get in touch with such an environment, and getting familiar with the work-life issues may be challenging to adopt. One of the challenges I faced at the beginning of my internship was an established unnoticed work. It is a reality of the fact that people excel well when they expect positive recognition. Therefore, as an intern, I thought I was doing well, but I found myself in a position where it was hard to get appreciated unless I inquire.
As a result, I believe that most of the interns, especially with low self-esteem, will always have a difficult time to adopt since this job requires attention, and an instructor may not get involved so much without inquiring to learn. The solution, in this case, as an intern, is to understand the level of commitment needed to attract the attention to learn. The other challenge which I faced during my internship was issued with time management. This was a new experience that required me to adapt and act professionally. Reaching to class late as well as some of the professors tolerated late submission of the assignment. However, in the work environment, such cases were not acceptable, and this required an individual to prepare enough to avoid such instances. At the beginning of my internship, I was a victim, but I learned that changes in these dynamics should be enhanced to achieve success.
Lastly, the other challenge I experienced during my internship was based on the role of mentors to coordinate the integration of interns into the system. Individuals working in SkyWest airlines, especially in the control room, were overwhelmed with work. This could not allow them to have time for teaching interns appropriately. Although in these settings, trusting individuals with no experience is negligence but providing a supervisor with the role of teaching and guiding interns to learn more aspects is significant. As a result, it was not easy to learn as fast for individuals who are slow learners within the organization. Additionally, based on the little time frame has given during this process, adopting when it is late can not make any significant change for an intern to acquire knowledge and learn more.
In general, my experience in SkyWest airlines can be described to both adventurers and lessons that I have gained for my future career as a flight dispatcher. There are various new skills I have achieved that are necessary to incorporate in this field. Besides, I was also capable of applying theoretical knowledge into practical skills in the company by learning most of the things we learned in class. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience that acted as an eye-opener for reality, which awaits me in the future as a full flight dispatcher.
