Responses to Writing Reflections

Hello Tricia
I understand your struggle and dilemma in choosing the pro and con position topics that you were writing. The initiative needs a well-calculated thought and coherent ideas put in place to overcome such shortcomings. However, I would have recommended that next time such assignments are brought up, kindly consider the following suggestions. First, look at the contentious issue in our contemporary world. Matters such as homosexuality, euthanasia, and other new health-related issues often elicit debate and compel people to take a position. Again, use credible sources to gauge such arguments and the integrity of the warrants that have been put across by people from various perspectives. However, I am glad you made the required corrections, as highlighted by the instructor and your peers. Prompt feedbacks are an essential tool for creating any revision and gauging your strength and weaknesses as far as writing is concerned (Alamis, 2010). All the best in the rest of your writing encounters.

Hello Brown
Credible sources compounded by relying on the subject you are affiliated not only vital but also ensures that your warrants and backings are subject to scrutiny and verification. In most cases, when an individual engages in a position paper using the information they are already accustomed to, they are bound to have an elaborate view and assumption of such matters. However, such views must be supported by the use of credible sources in place. The problem could only arise when an individual remains impartial in such cases and allows their position to dominate other dissenting voices (Poovey, 2000). In this regard, I hope your opinion did not cloud your objectivity, prompting you to trash all other dissenting voices. The incorporation of the feedback from the instructor and your peers is a vital step that would be beneficial in your long term writing as well as improving your perception of various subjects.
