“The walls.”

“So you’re telling me that you just came out of the walls? But how?” I question while serving myself another cup of wine. He takes a sip of his bottle of jack and ignores me. Hmm, he’s kind of an asshole.

“You’re really drinking that pussy ass wine.” He walks towards me, making no space between him and the countertop. I can feel my face turning red by the contact. “Here.” He reaches behind me and grabs a red solo cup filling it partially with the jack in his hand. He hands it down to me and motions me to drink it.

“U-um, thanks?” I say, downing the liquid slowly a burning sensation going down my throat. He watches, towering over me, and when I’m done, he walks away, muttering a quick slur. Leaving me speechless.

What the fuck just happened. What am I going to tell Leah? What the fuck. A dozen questions run through my mind as I walk looking for wherever Leah is. “Y/n! Where’ve you been!” She shouts from the couch, I half-smile and take a seat next to her.

“I was just grabbing another drink,” I raise my cup, “how are things going with Daniel so far?” She smiles before explaining how she’s trying to find a way to make a move on him. She’s usually pretty good at getting guys. Still, Daniel seems as dumb as a doorknob, so he probably hasn’t noticed Leah’s attempts.

“I need a drink.” She says before grabbing the cup from my hand, she takes a quick sip and scrunches up her face. “Is this whiskey, where did you get whiskey from?” Oh, I forgot about that.

“Well, about that…” I scratch the back of my head. “I might have run into your brother in the kitchen… and I may or may not have shared a little something with me… I guess…” I don’t know why that was so difficult to say… to be honest, I’ve never been drunk before, so could that be it. I feel fine, but honestly, I don’t know.

“Judd shared his jack? With you? He never does that, it’s like his thing to not share. That’s odd y/n I’d stay away from him.”

“She didn’t stay away from your man… fuck her brother!” Connie shouts appearing out of fucking nowhere.

“It’s not that bigofadeal Leah lay off.” I grab the cup back from her and drink the rest of it. “Also, if you want to get Daniel to kiss you, you should play one of those party games like suck and blow.”

“Y/n, that’s a fucking genius idea! Totally made up for you just being a bitch, I love you eee.” She squeals, getting up to announce the game. I take this as my cue to leave. I walk into the kitchen to see Nick, an awkward tall kid, and an ethnic kid with good eyebrows taking shots of what looked like Pepto.

“Who’s the hot chick.” The ethnic kid says, looking me straight in the boobs. Middle schoolers.

“Eyes up here.” I smile. “I’m y/n, Leah’s friend; what are you guys drinking?”

“Oh, I’m Jay, otherwise known as PARTY WOLF, and this is cotton candy brandy for kids by kids.” He responds confidently while the tall kid has a possible seizure in the corner.

“Well, then pour it up.” I hand him my cup, and he fills it partially. “So Nick, are these your friends how cute.” I gush, taking a sip of the pink stuff.

“Um yeah, this is Andrew, and you already met Jay.” I smile at Andrew him once again, seizing and muttering “boobs” to himself.

“Well, I’ll see you guys, I’m going to try and find a place not full of sweaty highschoolers.” I shoot them a wink before walking straight out the front door.

I need a walk and a moment to process what is going on in there. The wind blows softly as I saunter down the block. The sky is scattered with stars, and the moon is on full display. I love it when the weather gets like this. The leaves of the trees are painted with orange and red, and it’s still too early on in the season for it to be cold. Or maybe it’s the alcohol, distracting me from the goosebumps forming on my legs.

I pull my cardigan across my torso like a housewife with 7 kids and a Xanax addiction. I start thinking about my almost toxic friendship with Leah and my strange yet sudden infatuation with her brother.

He doesn’t share with anyone? I find it hard to believe that I would be the first he’s done that with. Woah, what if I am? That would be weird because he doesn’t even know my name of just about anything about me. (If it sounds repetitive it’s bc she’s spiraling and it’s on purpose:3)

“What are you doing out here, faggot.” Speak of the devil. Judd stands in front of me with a knife in his hand. Why does he have a knife? I look around to see a line of cars all with slashed tires.

Ooh, that makes sense.

“I wanted to leave whatever that was going on inside the house, I don’t really like parties.” He chuckles for no reason, his voice deep and raspy. I wonder what his moans sound like.

“Why did you fucking go then.” He replies, continuing the conversation. Strange.

“Leah forced me too. If I had it my way, I would’ve stayed home and studied.” His face is unreadable. I wonder what he’s thinking about. “Oh, I don’t know if you know this, but I’m y/n.
