You should never send your CV instead of Resume while applying for jobs in the following situations…
And the situation is when you’re truly confused about the difference between a CV and a RESUME.
Even though they are almost similar, there are three distinct premises based on which we can differentiate them.
And I believe it’s essential for all of you to focus on it.
This post is going to be a long one, as there are minute areas that need to be focused on. So I would be creating three consecutive posts to highlight this aspect.
Since many other teenagers like me are going to start sending their CV/Resume soon after the following year, I believe it would be a great read.
The first and foremost point of differentiation is the language of origin. Don't use plagiarised sources.Get your custom essay just from $11/page

While Resume is of French origin, that means ‘Summing up,’ the CV or Curriculum vitae is of Latin origin that says, ‘Course of Life.’ Hey, are you getting some resemblance?
From the perspective of FORMAT, Resume, and CV has got some significant differences.
A resume is generally served for a quick glance about the Resume holder. Who he or she is, gender (though you can figure that out even without Resume, LOL), his or her work experience in one or two line and interests (recruiter must know whether he is going to hire a porn-addict or fashion-fanatic, right?) and a few other things that are really necessary like education and grades.
While a CV is generally of 2-3 pages that describes all of the summaries of Resume in a detailed fashion and is served right after the recruiter shows some interest in the Resume.
(What should I do with a bag of products if I didn’t even like the sample -_-)
A resume is generally prepared for the recruiter so that only he can know whether this guy is worthy enough for others to spend their time on or is someone who isn’t worthy of even a try. If the resume holder can impress the recruiter, he may ask for the CV for the other team members to have a look.
This was the difference between CV and Resume in terms of FORMAT.
The other three terms will be discussed in the next posts. Stay tuned and start updating your Resume by keeping the above in mind.
