Business ethics and CSR

The post has enhanced my knowledge about the concept of ethical CSR, and I would also like to add that it is an excellent means to build healthy relationships with the stakeholders and to make sure that the company can survive for a long run. In this respect, many companies within the UAE are conducting CSR campaigns which have not only added in increasing their brand image but also helped in improving the performance. Some well-known examples are ADNOC, DEWA, Al Tamimi,

among others. But one should not forget the CSR should always be done in an ethical manner else it will lead to a negative brand image. The author has even mentioned the example of Volkswagen, who worked unethically by designing the cars that can ‘cheat’ the emissions tests. Such activities can be fruitful only for a short period but will lead to loss of consumer loyalty in the long run. It is also important to note that if the management wants that CSR should positively impact the company, then they must incorporate it within the company culture. Some techniques for the same are behaving ethically and leading by example. Can you name some companies that have already incorporated CSR into there culture?
