Reflections on Essay

Introduction

This paper provides an evaluation of two essays indicated in the assignment details. Each of the composition has been reflected according to the format provided in the assignment details in the definitive form below.

Response to essay 1

The first student expresses that she has the concrete idea about her ideas but faces difficult time describing and voicing her opinions. There is continuously switching between tenses and needs assistance in arranging her thoughts to project creativity. The piece of literature starts on the positive note with high spirits where a parent feels proud of reading the book for the first time. She barely recalls her chi8ldhood memories but accounts how the parents shared childhood memories with her. The author was brought up with several siblings, and the father abandoned school to take care of them. The father was not a books reader until the time parents divorced. She spent most of the time executing chores and developing adventure for other siblings. She was not a fan of education, and her sister was two years older than her. She accounts about a trip to Canada and confesses her fondness in reading books.

This essay has a jovial start, and the writer is very passionate about writing and reading. There are inconsistencies in the storyline with several contradictions of time frame. The stance of the story is positive, and the significance of the article is not very clear. The characters in the story are not given names but are referred to but their pronouns. There are no direct dialogues present in the story, but it is the mere reflection of past events which is not pure as memories. The organization and flow of the article are inconsistent and alternates between the present and the past. The point of view in the story is weak since the writer does not focus on a particular issue to address in the story. It lightly accounts on the parent’s lifestyle, her interaction with other siblings and trip to Canada. The story is not having the definite conclusion but projections of the writer on her sister. The writer sentence structure is average and grammatical errors are minimal.

Response to essay 2

In the second essay, the author writes about personal reflections about personal reflections and the gender is not specific. It has no particular gender specification and is written in first singular expressive context. Their logical expressions are weak though there is mention of character names. The author has not indicated either his or her gender and name in the literature under analysis. The stance of the paper is weak, and the setting is not explicit in the story. There is no presence of dialogues but pure reflections of circumstances. The organization of the article is average though there is the existence of poor transitions. There is the application of literary tools such as “my brain was going a million miles an hour, but my hand could go only one mile an hour.” The story has an ending which substantially makes sense though it terminates in suspense, the grammar application in the draft is robust. It has minimal mistakes and reflects on the writer’s experience in school and writing. The mechanics of grammar is reliable through the significance of the story is not satisfied. The transitions in writing are stable, and the organization of sentences and flow of the story is also active. The actions in the story revolve around the author; Dylan and Mr. Nipper.

Conclusion

According to this paper, the second essay is more professional than the first one. They both do not have clear settings and characters are not mostly involved apart from the authors which the compositions revolved around.
