The very reason I want to study at university as a manager

When I think about business, what comes to mind are the Powers and Responsibilities associated with it. Business for me is not just merely doing trading, manufacturing, etc. for money, the scope of business goes way deeper & further than this. Businesses impact the lives of not only those involved but lots of people indirectly. For example, a manufacturer effects the lives of their staff, buyers, suppliers, competitors, staff of suppliers, etc. and this list goes on because this is not just a mere dealing among two people but a whole chain of people whose efforts are connected together to make this deal happen. Therefore, business is about the Power to impact lives and it depends on the Management if they make positive impact or negative impact which in turn comes down to the managers and their education. The very reason I want to study at university so that I as a manager or entrepreneur will always have apt backing of education and experience with me to make efficient and effective decisions in my career, which impacts lives positively.

Hailing from a successful business & political family, I for a fact, know how tough yet exhilarating experience it can be to run a business and deal with people associated with you and your business. Seeing my father & grandfather do business with such determination and solid will, in turn, developed in me great respect towards businessmen and willingness to myself venture into the business world. This keenness of doing business collided with my knack of traveling the world and thus came out my very own start-up company Voyager Travelex Pvt. Ltd. I was always very much into travelling and exploring the world as most of the youth today are, but not everyone gets a chance to travel the world and live their dreams. In India especially, travelling internationally is considered very costly and unaffordable affair for many therefore I came up with this idea to make the youth travel the world and giving them experiences so unique that can stay with them all life but at the same time on a budget that fits their pockets, thus founded this international youth backpacking company and became the youngest Director and CEO in the family.

Now coming down to my decision to apply for the Masters program in International Management, this decision was a very tough yet necessary call for me as stated earlier I started with my venture but when it all came down to operating the whole business I faced a lot of challenges which were new to me, even though had the Part-time experience of handling administrative &operations work in my family’s IT business still all these challenges were pretty difficult for me to come over. These challenges made my will tremble but at the same time, made me realize how important it is for me as an entrepreneur and a manager to learn and educate myself furthermore with the best institutions and course there is. It won’t only allow me to learn new things but also to grow and become a better leader, entrepreneur, manager and, most importantly, a better person. I have a strong belief that education is a continuous process, and one should never stop learning, although the betterment of the person grows manifolds if the place of learning is good. In Indian beliefs, place of education is given the same stature as a place of worship, so that imbibes in me, the respect towards education. Studying in a University as accredited and prestigious as yours means a lot to me because I want to be trained and made ready to face the world by a world-class institution with the best faculty and infrastructure there is. With my knack of learning more, socialising, being creative and inventing when colluded with all the exposure, education & lifetime experiences I will get at your world-ranking university, it will arm me with all there is needed to take the world heads on.

Studying in the United Kingdom for me has two reasons, one is that we all know and is a universal fact that the UK is one of the world’s earliest, biggest, and successful economies. This fact is not hidden from anyone that any business that wants to grow international on a good scale has to take the UK into confidence, the ever-growing economy makes it the best place to do business. I have a theory where I like to consider the UK as the capital of the business world, be it the geographical factors, economical factors or historical factors, UK comes out excelling as the perfect place. There is no better place for a budding entrepreneur and manager like me to learn, gain experience and live other than the United Kingdom, and with University of Warwick being located near London makes it even better to stay in touch with the business world. The other reason for studying in the UK is that I did one semester of my undergraduate course from Amity University in London, which was a life-changing & exhilarating experience for me as I got so much exposure by studying there. I got to experience the serene beauty holds, and the business of London amazes me. What amazes me the most about the UK is the multi-culturalism of the country, it is a broad mix of all ethnicities, and still, no one is treated differently. During my stay in London, I also became a huge fan of English sport Rugby, the sport really appeals to me but of course after Cricket as it is my favourite sport, anyday.

I would like to end this by saying that the University of Warwick will be the perfect institution for me to carve myself and be future-ready with everything there is to, and about business, I on the other may not be an ideal student for such a prestigious university right now, but I know I will surely come out as an ideal person, a perfect entrepreneur and all the other things I want to become when a university like yours plays the most significant part of my life.
