The people of colonial America and resistance

            Northern America is one of the areas in the world which are characterized by a mixed population made of people from different origin.  The groups that have been existing in America since the colonial period are; The Native Americas, the Afro-Americans and the Indians. The Native Americans in the group of people that is believed to have occupied the area initially. They are the real; Americans. The Afro- Americans are the people of African origin that were forcibly sold to USA during the time of salve trade and finally, the Indians are the people who were transported to USA to act as builders and road and railway constructors. As the time went by, the colonial groups such as the British, Germany, Spanish, French and Dutch people went to North America to occupy the states and establish colonialism. British occupied USA and established leadership. On the other hand, the Dutch colonization took place in the Hudson River Valley. Dutch colonization was accompanied by transportation of big North American population to Netherlands in 1624. The Spanish established their colonial rules in Southwest, most specifically, Central Mexico. The French occupied Newfoundland’s Grand Banks. Their settlement in this area boosted finishing, the main activity bin the region. All these colonial powers were resisted by the people that they found in the area they visited.

Slavery in North America

Slavery in North America began as early as 1619 when the first slaved group arrived. Slavery was conducted in form of an organized trade as specific people had particular tasks in slavery. There was a group that specialized in transportation of slaves from American continent and there is that part of group that acted as middlemen to facilitate exchange of slaves between the transporters and the slave owners. Purposely, slaves wearer] bought in order to work in the ‘European plantation in north America. They were subjected to harsh punishment by the colonialists. They worked hard but they were paid less, they were bitten when then made a slight mistake among other non-humanitarian actions. Africans resisted to slavery through ways such as Slave Rebellions. The Stono Rebellion (1739), the Gabriel Prosser’s conspiracy (1800) and the Nat Turner’s Rebellion of1831. However, the slave rebellions were not the final because of some limitations. This method of resistance to colonial rule failed in some areas such as USA as the slaves could not match their fight with that of gunned soldiers of colonialist. They were highly outnumbered in the incidences of rebellions. Another method that was used by the slaves to resist is Runaway Technique. This involves escaping of Africans from European farms. They waited the time   when nobody was in a strict supervision and therefore escaped to forest.

Slavery resistance

Slaves could also use Ordinary Acts of Resistance method. This involved breaking up of tools and equipment. This method helped the slaves in a greater way as it gave them time to rest. However, the method was not satisfactory between soon the machines were replaced. Notably, the slaved faked themselves ill in order to evade the harsh conditions. They could also slow down the rate of working. Others played dump throughout the working period household slaves such as women used their opportunity to undermine theirs masters. The slaves used wrapping up method where they formed small groups based on origin, culture and beliefs to console themselves about the harsh situation they were undergoing. Finally, some slaves found Runaway method difficult because it meant ones a separation with family members. So, they considered being undermined.

Servitude

The Black came into use in Virginia in 1620 after the Europeans settled in North America at Jamestown. It acted as the central institution for British colonialists. It was a means of enhancing the slave mobility in the region. This helped the Europeans assess slaves more easily from both the African and Asian origin.  The process reappeared in South American in Caribbean sugar where the slaves from Asian origin were deported. The main challenge of Servitude was the transportation cost of slaves to these areas. As time went by, these Afro-Americans revolution was signed by President Ronald Reagan and all the concerned groups were shouting for independence.  The African American groups included; the patriots, the sailors and Lord Dunmore proclamation. Some of the individuals involved are James Armstead, Crispus Attucks, Henri Christophe and William Flora among others.

American Revolution and Independence

When the groups involved in the revolution for independence intensified their efforts, it came what is known as the declaration for independence.  The Europeans in African states either gave power to Africans forcibly or willingly. Thereafter, the Africans could be given authority rule and govern themselves. So they gained full control over themselves. The American Revolution for slaves resulted to various impacts.  First, the Africans were freed from harsh conditions they were subjected by Europeans. Secondly, the institution that was meant for settling of slaves was abolished. The Blacks agitated for a Congress that led to the end of slave trade. In addition, the slaves were allowed to speak the natural language and finally and most importantly, the slaves that live those areas acquired citizenship and they can now vote during general elections.
