The Catholic Reformation mostly relied on individuals like Cardinal Ximenes who encouraged them in universities and all schools. The possibility of change inspired many to seek change which was real and meaning and failure to this made them seek alternative churches thus led to reformation that led to secularism which was thought that religion had to separate from political life and also the public life of a society where their lives were not to be dominated by religion in any way Stokes, James. “The Ongoing Exploration of Women and Performance in Early Modern England: Evidence, Issues, and Questions.” Shakespeare Bulletin 33, no. 1 (2015): 9-31.
