Cyber Security Training

Current literature in cybersecurity shows that most organizations are less likely to implement extra personnel training or awareness through technology. According to the Cyber Security Breaches Survey of 2018, whereas security expertise already understands the importance of user technology security training, most organizations are yet to cultivate the importance of the technique in enhancing cybersecurity (Furnell & Clarke, 2015). User technology security education within organizations is important in ensuring that the staff has adequate knowledge on preventing cyber breaches and attacks. Although it might seem difficult to quantify the exact number of breaches security awareness training programs, it is a prerequisite for organizations to conduct regular user technology training.

Secondly, this training is also crucial in making technological defenses more robust. Cyber defenses are an invaluable weapon in helping the organization prevent security breaches. User technology training in cybersecurity ensures that the staff has adequate knowledge of the security warnings in place as well, besides, to understand how cybersecurity software and the system works (Hight, 2015). On the other hand, user technology training on cyber security issues is relevant in enhancing compliance. This compliance is fundamental in ensuring that members of the organization embrace information security efforts. As such, this requires that managers must build a corporate culture that information security is an organizational ide effort.

In conclusion, user technology training for staff is crucial within an organization since it creates awareness on the scope and functioning of cybersecurity technology. This training equips the staff with requisite knowledge of cybersecurity. Moreover, this will culminate in less time in detecting security incidents.
