Methamphetamine

Methamphetamine is the new drug that is known for its exponential ability to increase sexual desire in women and men alike. It has replaced cocaine, which was in the past known for its potency. Most anecdotes from past users describe meth as an aphrodisiac that causes uncontrollable sexual desire.

Meth is known to hold up orgasms, increase sex drive, enhance sexual performance, and cause a lack of self-consciousness. With it, these effects seem to have a more prolonged impact on women than with any other drug because meth has a longer half-life. Also, meth is highly unlikely to cause sexual dysfunction. It is the reason it hooks people who seek wild, lustful, and prolonged sexual encounters.

A study in 2009 revealed that about 60-70% of meth users reported drug-induced sexual desire. The drug also seemed to have almost the same effect on women as men. In comparison, cocaine had about 40-50%, and there was a disparity between the sexes.

So, how does it work? The drug makes a person uninhibited because it affects dopamine production, which harms your frontal lobes. The frontal lobe helps people to control negative urges.

Dopamine gives us a pleasurable feeling when we do things we like. Things like tasty foods release 150 on the dopamine scale, an orgasm about 200, and cocaine about 340.

When it comes to methamphetamines, the numbers go fivefold to about 1050, which throws our brains off-balance. And since humans are pleasure-seeking beings, we seek more pleasurable experiences primarily through sex to have more dopamine release.

It is important to note that whereas meth can increase sexual desires in some women, it does not give any pleasure. Also, according to former users, it robbed them of intimacy long after recovering. Even after stopping, some parts of the brain never recover. And your overall wellbeing deteriorates. Lack of self-control also increases the chances of getting STDs among users and associated non-users.

Methamphetamines may sound like the perfect aphrodisiac for women but what a price to pay?
