Problems in education are always connected to teacher quality, funding, and, most probably, the status of the teaching profession. Other factors are student performance and testing, racism, and equal education opportunity. Lack of proper parental involvement also seems to be a problem in education. Research shows that parental involvement in the child’s education makes them feel better about themselves. This will always make them have good grades and higher test scores on standardized tests in school. It is, therefore, essential to have qualified teachers that properly care about the students at all times and also encourage parents on the importance of getting involved in their child’s education.

Change is inevitable, and with the world’s problems becoming more dynamic, then it is also necessary for the education system to change as well. It is terrible that most teachers and educators are still holding on to the old teaching methods that are considered adequate today. The best learning techniques are not just making the student’s scram content in education for the sake of the exam but helping to understand what they are learning and becoming self-sufficient in their creativity and thinking.  The incorporation of better innovative teaching techniques in the present education system can enable the students to become creative thinkers. Innovation should not just be about technology but creating ideas that make life easier. The innovative learning skills will prepare students to become more passionate about learning and equip them with the necessary tools to conquer the existing problems in the present world.

Use of  Technology

Technology today has become part of the education system as time goes. Technology will have benefits for the students. Students can learn and build skills in technology at an early age. This will help them embrace and leverage the skills and tools that are provided by technology. The use of technology also lowers the long term costs incurred by the students and educational institutions. This is because the use of printed materials like textbooks is reduced.

The use of technology can also make the learning process fast and efficient, and the lessons can be delivered and get shared anywhere, whether at home or in school. Students can effectively access educational programs and other forms of application. It also enhances the coordination between the parents, teachers, and students.

Emphasis on STEM

Teachers and educators should put more focus on STEM(science, technology, engineering, and math). The educators should, therefore, empower the students with the necessary skills in these fields. A lot of world’s problems need solutions through education, and the current education systems are not that effective in imparting the appropriate skills to help students become more creative in the future. Therefore educators must come up with the learning methods that are innovative to help tackle this stalemate.

States, districts, schools, and the federal government and policymakers should be accountable financially to the public should provide adequate resources that are needed in schools to produce positive results. The policies should be able to encourage parents, families, and communities to get them fully and actively involved in their respective public schools. The systems should, therefore, require professional development programs for all teachers to include the knowledge and the skills that are needed for effective parental and community communication and engagement strategies. There should be adequate provision of incentives or employers to grant a reasonable amount of leave for the parents so that they can get time to participate in their children’s school activities.

A qualified, caring and stable workforce in the school requires well pre4pared and skilled candidates for all vacancies. A quality teacher induction with mentoring services from trained veteran teachers, proper opportunities for continual improvement, and growth for all employees. The right working conditions with professional compensation and benefits, which can make them successful. The school funding systems must also provide adequate, equitable, and sustainable funding.
