One of the typical requirements in writing such assignments including relevant sources of information they have been provided (Hitchcock, Casal & Lee, 2018). A credible source is an author or trained professional or individual who  has a thorough knowledge base in their field of study as well as peer-reviewed assessment.

When writing academic research paper, there must be some sources incorporated for the support of the discussion (Lee, 2018). Controversial topics of discussion must not only have relevant resources but examples detailing both the pros and cons that will help in the development of the thesis also. For instance, in our field of study, Biological Science, you can research, “The reasons for increased drug abuse among college students.” (Lee, 2018). The topic of discussion must be relevant and in line with your field of study so that obtaining the sources becomes direct and available to build a foundation that is reliable and cohesive.

When cultivating a solid platform, you can use four or more sources that support the basis of the ideas contained in research that you are developing (Lee, 2018). Such references will depend on the vast stretch of areas you read and researched while enriching your body of work. In this case, we will consider four sources from the internet;

Equally, two are sources are obtained from the library books;

The first two sources that are obtained from the internet are obtained by visiting Google, search Google Scholar, then type the topic of your argument (Foasberg, 2017). From the available sources that will be displayed, please check the most recent sources, e.g., Those that are five years or older is the most updated information (Foasberg, 2017). These sources must be relevant in developing your paper.

The last two sources were obtained from the library and picking relevant books that are usually arranged according to the department or field of study (Foasberg, 2017). Choose a book and check the author of the book and any other co-authors if any followed by the title of the book, then consider checking the year of publication and lastly the pages of the book from which you obtained your information. You can then write the sources according to the styles required by the tutor or lecturer, e.g., APA, MLA, AMA or any other style that is requested by your professor. The main reasons for integrating your sources will include the ability of a source to nullify the entire except if it outlines different information from that which you had provided as well as gaining respect and integrity from your peers and teachers for the ability to give accurate information (Foasberg, 2017). The format of how to integrate these sources is seen at the end of the first sentence of each paragraph as well as the inclusion of the sources in the reference section on the last page of this document.

It can, therefore, be concluded that for one to identify sources for their academic essays, the essays must be researched from sites that can be traced and cited for reference. The basis of indicating sources in your academic research assignment serves various purposes including; Creating the confidence of your written work for the readers since they can account for the information they are going through as well as giving them the ability to obtain any additional information they need on your assignment. All your written sources on the academic research assignment should be honest and come from either the library, the internet or a reliable source.
