Stella who has an African origin joined the US defense forces in the year 2008 and through her experience in different countries where she has participated in her line of duty points out at the widening gap between the whites and blacks, where the whites seems to care more about their fellow whites and blacks for their fellow blacks. She associates this trend with the realization of blacks of their rights recently as compared to a few decades where the whites considered themselves superior and blacks inferior. Blacks could be placed at the front line during the times of war because their demise was not seen as a big deal. The realization of their rights as equal beings just like the whites has been accompanied by many changes in the military setting especially on the artificial intelligence sector where robots are made in the two races also.
Extending the idea of equal rights into the military setting, Stella sees the future of her career to be on the receiving end of this trend, where she will be more concerned with the black robots to an extend that she won’t allow them to be set on the front line during wars and would care less of the white robots because they are from a different race. To her, this will be a sign of realization that whites and blacks are equal.
Stella sees herself taking the black robots for maintenance and leaving behind the white race robots to be taken care of by the white officers because they are not from her race. This is a sign that the military will have split into two although aiming at a common goal of fighting a common enemy. She will be more concerned with the welfare of the black robots to avoid losing them to their enemies because this will imply weakness on the black race.
She will be at the front line advocating for equal number of black and white robots being sent to the battle field to avoid black race being seen as inferior at any particular time. This will be a sign of compassionate towards blacks considering that the black robots may easily be sent to the battle field in large numbers than the white robot just because of the notion that had been held a few decades ago, that white race is more superior to the black race.
Stella sees herself paying for repair and maintenance of the black robots so that they ma dominate the military in order to promote the black race. Through this approach, she will be striving to ensure that the black race takes the superiority title which has been bestowed on the white race for long. The white officers will also be busy on their side to ensure that their superiority title does not fade away and therefore will be more concerned on the white robots as well.
Stella sees herself on the front line to fight for integration of any emerging technology on the black robots because she takes it as a way of ensuring that superiority is bestowed on the black race which initially used to be looked down upon by the white race. According to her, this will be a sign of contentment to the future generations which will have an opportunity to enroll into the military forces whether locally or internationally as they will have a sense of supremacy when interacting with whites.
Stella sees herself sacrificing her own finances to ensure that black robots are maintained and leave behind the white race robots to be taken care of by the white officers because they are not from her race. When she considers the initial working environments of black robots, Stella sees herself fighting for better working environments or improvement of the existing black robots for them to fully adapt to the changing environments. For instance, the initial black robots were being designed in a way that they could only survive under flat environments and therefore when exposed to different environments would find it hard for them to survive and therefore deemed inferior which would be translated into racial factor. Ensuring that they are designed in the same manner as the white robots would ensure that the notion of superior and inferior race is eliminated.
