Your Task:
Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption highlights many issues which inmates need to deal with in correctional facilities. For this report, you need to identify 3 major issues which confront the inmates at Shawshank. After you’ve decided on the issues you want to cover, you need to do some research to explore how these issues are dealt with in real life. Your goal will be to compare Shawshank’s inmate program with real life inmates/institutions confronting similar problems. In doing so, you will comment on how realistic the portrayal of Shawshank prison actually is.
Your research should focus on CANADIAN correctional facilities, not American. .
