Sexual Abuse in Teenagers- is a part of human behaviour that when learned, quite clearly often induce exciting reactions, in most cases due to ignorance, anxiety and guilt. Sexual abuse is not a sporadic deviant act. Instead, it is a disturbing fact of daily life. Most people tend to doubt and blame young individuals who have been sexually abused, and in some cases, they underestimate the effect and horror of sexual harassment.
Sexual abuse in teenagers arises when a minor is exploited for sexual fulfilment by a grownup. Sexual abuse can be in many forms; this includes caressing the breasts, the genitals, vagina, or having anal intercourse. Penetrating the minor can either be through using fingers, genitals or objects or revealing the sensual parts of the body. Abusers often use enticement, intimidations, trickeries, or taking undue advantage the minor without the consent of the child. Victims of sexual abuse are affected extensively by such actions. It destroys their innocence, affects their decision making leading to questionable behavioural habits and poor judgment. It also affects the child’s social skills and has a negative influence on most of their engagements.
