Guide for Research Papers
All papers will comply with the APA guide to research papers. The paper should be at least 3 and no more than 5 pages typed in Times New Roman, 12” font, 1” margins and double spaced. The title page should include the paper’s title, your name and course information centered. The works cited page should list all works referred to in writing the paper; articles, books, internet sources. The paper should have at least 4 sources. Internet sources must be reputable such as .gov, .org, or .edu – no video sites or Wikipedia.

For more detailed information, refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition.[unique_solution]
The research paper should be well referenced, analytical, and persuasive toward a specific argument. I suggest you have someone proof your paper to point out any obvious grammatical, punctuation or clarity issues. Brainfuse (through D2L), the Academic Success Center and the BC librarians are also available for this purpose. You should write formally, not as if you were having a conversation with a friend, but rather as if you were trying to publish the paper in a periodical. I look forward to reading your paper.
