The rampant challenges facing the US health sector have necessitated the need for improvement in the industry. The challenges that have been raising concerns include the large number of uninsured Americans as well as the problem of increase in premiums which seen to happen without proper consultations with the general public despite being the primary source. The Obama administration in association with the Congress sought to invest new funds in reducing the number of Americans without insurance. The government also tried to address the challenges that were leading to low quality of health care services that have led to low quality of services and increased cost of health care. Broad evidence has been provided to show that Americans have been receiving low-quality health services even though the US government spends more money on the health than any other nation in the world. in addition to lacking the necessary healthcare among the Americans, there have been rampant cases of patients receiving unnecessary medical services.
The health sector has been said to be faced with several challenges, which need immediate action. The problems lie mostly on insurance coverage and the management of the price of premiums.
