The Biblical knowledge and military
In every field of expertise, there is always a source of knowledge that is related to it. Depending on the nature of the profession and the foundation that they are built on, the source of information that is considered as truth can always be different. In a profession like that of the military, the source of truth mainly relies on scientific knowledge and experience (Mendelsohn, 2013). For a long time, the terms and conditions of the military have been coming from the skills gained from other blocks. Not restricted to the military officers of their wing, though, the troops will always want to know what other blocks were able to do when they were faced with the same situations. And that is the main reason why for a very long time, the military troops have had to be led by people who have a lot of experience in the filed and not necessarily people who have the intellectual capability in the field. Experience has been considered imperative rather than any other factor in the field. The Biblical knowledge has been of immense impact, too, when dealing with criminal levels. Unless when it comes to extremists who are not worth the Biblical mercies, there are a lot of people perpetrators who have received the benefit of the doubt under the prerogative of mercy.

The military is emerging to be one of the most important wings that every country has to put its resources into. Without a military block, there is no way than a country will be assured of security from the borders and also in the internal. Therefore, the federal government has to make a lot of inputs into the sector of the military, regardless of the amounts that are spent under that sector, the country’s safety is paramount. Without security from the borders and the internal, a state does risk not only its political aspects but also the social and economic perspective (Perlo-Freeman & Wezeman, 2014). The lack of security will results in a poor economy because there is no individual who will be willing to invest in a country where their investments can be swept off by conflicts and other insecurity aspects. Even individuals who have the finances and the ideas to which they can invest in will not be willing to splash their money in a region where they are not assured of the protection of their property. For nations that have tourism as their main source of revenue, there cannot be any progress if there insecurity and unstable militia powers. For the external tourists mainly, one cannot move from their home country and move to a nation where they are not assured of their security (Izadi et al., 2012). Thus a state will end up losing its financial sources because of the lack of a well knowledgeable and poorly equipped military wing. To avoid going to those extents where the country is on the losing end, the military is strengthened to become a source of pride for the country. Experience is a very crucial factor for any person who is on the high ranks of the militia powers, but that does not mean that it is everything. In the modern-day world, intellectuality in different filed matters hugely for one to be in the hierarchy of militia troops. The world is at a stage where technology has taken over almost all the aspects; that is, ranging from business, education, communication transport, and in the same lane, the military has not been left behind (Reiser et al., 2012). There are a lot of technological developments in the line of skills, tools, and arms that have come forth in the modern-day world. For countries to be able to match with other nations, it has forced them to be innovative when it comes to the arms lane. And considering the factor of the developments that are coming in on periodical bases, the experience in the militia lane is ceasing to be imperative when compared to intellectuality. It is not to mean that the experience is becoming important no more. The military still needs people who can guide the juniors when it comes to skills in different terrains and varying situations. At the same extent, though, the military needs intellectuals who are well equipped with knowledge in the line of the arms race and technological development. That is if they are to be able to cope with other world powers that are emerging with equipment for war (Naughton, 2016).
The military powers in the modern-day world reflect more than what a country can be able to do during the time of war. Assessing the countries with the strongest militaries in the world, the top three nations are United States, Russia, and China, respectively (“These are the 25 most powerful militaries in the world in 2019”). The same picture is reflected when it comes to the nations with the strongest economies in the world. The United States and China respectively, are the nations with the strongest economies power in the world (“The World’s Top Economies in 2020”). Thus it shows there is an interrelation that exists between the military power and the economic powers in the world. The military in the world today has become a factor as to how the economy of a nation will be shaped. There is no investor who will not be willing to invest in such a country like the United States because they are assured of the protection of property not during the internal wars but also during external invasions. Every country has enemies and allies. And the best way that a nation can attract some allies is if they have a strong military when it comes to arms and skills on the ground. Another good way to have allies is for a country to be strong economically. A good military block achieves both. It is the major reason why a country like the United States is in a position to have a lot of nations aligned with their ideology. The befriending nations know that they have a shield when it comes to the times of war and a run-to parent nation when they need financial assistance.
Thus it is definite that nations need to set up their armies to be strong from all the dimensions. And as noted, nations are trying to advance in the aspects of technology, and that is the only way that they can make better weapons and be equipped in case there are war uprises. The strongest nations military wise in the world as listed, the United States, Russia, and China are also the most developed countries when it comes to technology (Xie et al., 2014). And for these nations, it is not a matter of the huge manpower in the troops; it is all about the advanced arms that they are able to make from their countries. Things have changed from when the only thing that mattered was whether a nation has enough people in the army. The number of soldiers who are placed in the army matter less today; if the tools of war are of good quality and there are intellectuals to implement the use, then the country is in a good position. No matter how huge a military workforce a country has, there are no advancements that a nation can make when they are facing a nation that has people who are experts in war. It is the main reason why even the regional blocks in the world today, like the United Nations, do not have to recruit huge numbers of troops (Simmonds, 2012). They only need to have the manpower that is well equipped to handle the equipment on the ground. The scientific advancements thus have come to ease the burden of risking a lot of lives in the battleground.
The manpower and the scientific knowledge, as noted, are key elements in the arms race and defense of nations today, that though does not undermine the fact that the Biblical guidance is still a key element. The Bible still acts as a key element of reference when it comes to military alignment. The military is a line of expertise that can be traced from as far as the Biblical experiences. According to 2 Samuel 22:30, 33, 47, Samuel is saying, “With your help, I can advance against a troop; with my God, I can scale a wall. It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!” Regardless of how strong an army may seem, the strengthening and winning factor always come from God. It is God who determines who the winner is and the way of fighting the battle. A country might be armed to the teeth, but if they despise the position of God in the war, they will be doomed to fail. At some point, when the military has strong and enough equipment for the war, they feel as if they are good to go, but that matters less if they do not acknowledge God. The embracement of the Role do God in the battles can be seen through prayer, faith, and belief. And that is something a lot of troops put into consideration before getting to war with other nations or even internal outbreaks.
