The Mongolian Traditional Art of Khöömei

The paper explores the artistic themes of music using “The Mongolian Traditional Art of Khöömei.” Listening to music can be very interesting, mainly if the musician uses a combination of the right styles. The article will analyze the artistic style of music using various videos.

From a first reaction point of view, the first video kicked off with a melodic tune that was very familiar and happened to be a tone that is popular in nature-related clips. The melody was very moving, and the sounds seemed to be appeasing and catching. Thus, it appears to be ordinary to a point where the first individual performs the music plays from his mouth while demonstrating various forms of performing the Mongolian traditional art of Khöömei (UNESCO, 1:15;2:45). The song’s performance was entertaining, and the styles were relevant. As the singer transitions into other types of singing, such as the throat form of singing, the melody felt slightly disgusting, which is a trait of noise. In the second video, the Corigoo Tsast Tsagaan Kharhiraa had an impressive flow to it that managed to merge EDM melodies to the throat singing technique of the musician (OTMT). I found the tune and merger very appeasing and equally impressive, considering that the throat singing was the authoritative tone to the song in the final video. The Mongolian Rap style (Fish Symboled Stamp) was not in any way appealing and was even more disgusting and irritating as the song progressed. The videos performed did not conform with the music themes, and thus there was no interconnection.

By looking into the third preposition of music that points out that sounds are organized by people, which makes music a humanly organized sound does represent itself in the art of the Mongolian traditional art of Khöömei. The sounds created in the song happened to be rhyming and very organized. These sounds happen to be held within their throats and come out with a nature-oriented theme. This makes the song very lively and entertaining. The act of making this sound seems to be a pure talent and makes the song to flow swiftly. This Mongolian culture is very significant, and this musical throat technique is awe-inspiring since this does require one to master vocal coordination as well as develop a mighty vocal cord and air-filled lungs. The act can closely be related to beat-boxing; however, the Mongolian human musical technique is rather challenging, and this shows why it is most significant to the culture.

The ability to make sounds that relate to the nature surrounding the culture natural is more so why this technique is highly ethnocentrism to the emergence of other forms of human voice and sound creations, making it more of a parent starting point. The act is simplified since the fourth musical proposition does state that music is a product of human inception/will (Hudson, Ray, 630). Such inception can evolve and be adaptive to different scenes, which shows how the Mongolian traditional art of Khöömei has also adopted the rapping style of music. The article explains how music can be exciting and entertaining, mainly if the appropriate artistic techniques are applied. Musicians ought to have the right combination of the themes and styles of their songs if they are to remain relevant. Also, they should prepare their vocals and ensure there is a swift of their songs while performing.
