Introduction

Learning styles relate to the various methods people use to absorb, recognize, and store information. VARK is a questionnaire that speeds up the learning process by proposing strategies used in the learning process to improve understanding. The acronym stands for visual, auditory, read/write, and kinesthetic (Vark, 2016).Vark analysis helps you understand who you really are and promote relationships and communication with others. It is a tool that helps you to learn through seeing, hearing, and reading, as well as research and jargon, to pass exam skills, as it helps in your career. Most people are multi-modal, the most common learning style in (kinesthetic) for touch or feeling, that is, you need to combine multiple learning styles to understand (Liew, Sidhu & Barua, 2015).

Summary of the analysis

The author’s VARK analysis high score was 15 (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, 3, 8, and 8, respectively) suggesting a Read/Write modality learning style. This style suggests that students, such as the author, prefer to receive information in text and written resources. They love learning by reading textbooks and taking notes and usually rely heavily on magazines, manuals, PowerPoint presentations, and dictionaries (Vark, 2016). This model is often used by teachers and students because it relies heavily on abstract materials and is a big asset during exams period. People in this category learn through repetition of written words. Turn charts, graphs, and charts into words to achieve learning. Literacy students are fluent in the language; they read quietly and learn well by turning all knowledge into words (Liew, Sidhu & Barua, 2015). People in this group like to read magazines and novels and prefer to sit in a relaxed and undisturbed atmosphere. It is normal to find them in libraries and by profession; these people excel in the academic world as teachers, professors, and authors. They prefer multiple choice questions and markers in the text.

Preferred learning strategy

Because literate students are good readers and enthusiastic fans, they need to rewrite their paper ideas in their native language and read and master them over and over again. “The act of writing notes helps to organize ideas and facts in the student’s head. Notes not only record the lesson’s information, not just in words, but also contribute to the student’s writing.” (Liew, Sidhu & Barua, 2015). Vark also suggests learning information using definitions, handouts, textbooks, and glossaries, and displaying information using written tests, multiple-choice tests, paragraphs, and word lists. (Vark, 2016).

Comparison of preferred learning style and specific learning style

The author’s writing style does not differ from the specifications of the reading/writing model. The writer writes keywords and important facts on paper while reading the text, and summarizes visual and auditory images or graphics into words (Liew, Sidhu & Barua, 2015). Sentences, especially large vocabulary breaks, are replaced by the author’s own words for better understanding. Writers often use dictionaries, take notes in the classroom, and read them over and over again during private learning in a very quiet room (Entwistle & Ramsden, 2015). The writer also has features of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles, but his literacy strategies are much more powerful. This means that in some scenarios, training may be required in addition to recording the information needed to obtain information from a source of life in a real situation.

Effects of individual learning styles on education and learning

Learning methods vary from person to person, and improving your teacher-student relationship requires understanding your individual learning style (Truong, 2016). This gives you flexibility in how you teach each student. It is also important to understand the teaching style of your dominant teacher. Teachers who are aware of their preferred learning style and each student’s preferred learning style are more likely, if not otherwise, to learn from a student-centered learning experience (Truong, 2016). It is important to note that most people use a multi-modal approach to learning, making it increasingly difficult to use certain teaching methods.

A typical example is an author who is strong as a literate student, but scores 15 points, and his auditory and kinesthetic tendencies are not too slow. As a result, including all the different teaching methods and teaching methods, will provide a presentation in all student styles, including the author’s style. It also guides students out of the comfort zone (Liew, Sidhu & Barua, 2015). It provides students with the opportunity to expand their learning opportunities so they can grow in both their favorite and unattractive learning styles (Entwistle & Ramsden, 2015).

In conclusion, knowing the different learning styles of students will help teachers learn how to transfer materials to students and remind them of activities planned for students. It also highlights personality differences and potential barriers that can arise during academic interaction. Because no good model of learning style is considered the best, students tend to combine different learning styles depending on age, influence, and level of education.
