Managers spend time evaluating marketing tactics to use. According to Ogden, he states that tactics contribute towards the marketing strategies considered by the organization. As stated earlier, the marketing tactics are also referred to as the marketing mix. I should, therefore, be ensured that the tactics used are specific by ensuring that they define who, when, how, where, and why the marketing strategy is to be introduced in the market. In my case, I have considered Wal-Mart that has been leading in sales within the industry it operates in. I will discuss the IMC tactics used by selecting one of its traditional venues and one digital venue (Ogden & Ogden, 2014). I will also discuss the necessary improvements that can be made by the company.
The tactics considered by Wal-Mart depend on the areas identified since some are fully exposed, and thus, research is based on creativity and media influence. The company ensures that the tactics considered meet the overall objectives since failure to comply with that will result in the sending of mixed information to its targeted customers. For example, one of the marketing venues is in the supermarket, whereby the company has considered useful tactics that have increased its sales. For example, in the case of a product, the company ensures that it supplies a wide range of products such as groceries and hardware. There are also discounts offered to the customer who purchases products from these stores (Bhasin, 2017). The company has ensured that there is a good relationship with its suppliers. Another key tactic used in ensuring that the products in the store have been well labeled. In the case of promotion, the company ensures that there are slogans within the supermarkets that help in branding. It also ensures that customers are served who visits the stores are served warmly and ensure that their needs are met. With these tactics in place, the company has been able to have an increase in the level of its sales.
For the digital venue, the company websites have been used as a marketing tactic by the company, whereby the company has benefited greatly from it. The company has used this as a platform where it displays its products, and through this, the customer is able to review the products being offered by the company. The slogans with appealing messages to customers are posted, and through them, customers have been persuaded to purchase its products. Prices associated with its products are also listed, and customers are given an opportunity to make an online purchase. In its website, the location where the posted products can be found is also provided, and this helps the customer to save on time (Stephen, 2015). The customers also have an opportunity to give their tastes and preferences in the comment section. With these tactics in place, the company has been to market its products widely.

This will be useful to the company since it will be able to market its products widely. In terms of branding, the company can also improve the quality of the products being provided to its customers. Market analysis can also be carried out in its identified areas since this will help the management in understanding the needs of its targeted customers.
