There is a confrontation in at medium-size company has Phil is not respecting his boss Sean. Though Sean has not to find tangible evidence about this, he has received the information from some of his junior officers like Karen.

The negative mind that Phil has towards Sean being the head of the logistic group at the medium-size company is the cause of him having a confrontation with him. The frequent mock that Phil has towards Sean is the cause of this problem has he talks negatively to Sean when with other staff like Karen. The posts that Phil put on his Facebook.
Solution
Phil should avoid confronting his boss indirectly whenever he has an issue with Sean the best thing Phil should do is to go and talk to Sean about the problem so that they can find a long-lasting and suitable solution. Sean should also not rush to the conclusion that Phil is attacking him but do an investigation to know the root cause of the problem. Phil should help Sean to come up with a new resolution to increase the performance of the company than comforting him. Sean should also give Phil a chance to contributing to how they should run the company and accept some of his ideas because even the junior officers can be more knowledgeable and can give insights that can increase the performance of a company (Burns, 2017).
Advantage
The leadership of Sean is encouraging as we can see that he does not rush to cause a problem in Confronting Phil as he does not take what Karen is telling him; he believes that he should look for direct evidence (Lopes et al. 2019). Sean is a good leader as he can meet his goals in the department he is heading. Sean is a mindful person has he does not go to Phil and tell him that Karen has said you are mocking me, this is creativity as a leader who can balance the mind of his junior staff and not cause trouble among the team.
Disadvantage
It is wrong to mock your boss even if you are more qualified than him/her. Phil should learn to respect Sean since he is the head of the department. Sean and Phil should look for a better way to relate to better working in their department.
Final suggestions
- I suggest that Phil and Sean should have a meeting with the two of them to discuss their differences in a better working relationship in their department, and Phil should respect Sean as his leader.
- I also suggest that Sean should not rush in confronting Phil from the words his staff are telling him but look for concrete and direct evidence that can use to discuss with Phil about this issue.
