            Absenteeism is when employees are not working, and they have requested a day to be absent from the workplace. This may happen if an employee is sick, he has a family emergency, or maybe he has some engagement outside the work that he must meet them. It is a requirement for the employee to alert his employer that he will not report to the job. On the other hand, presenteeism can be described as the act of being present in the workplace, but not being productive, maybe because of sickness, lack of motivation, stress, and because of the heavy load of work. Chronical disease tends to contribute a lot in the presenteeism of the employees, for instance, a person who has diabetes, it becomes a challenge to pay attention to the work assigned to them because they are much worried about their blood glucose level. Therefore the company here tend to pay out wages and salaries for its employee, despite the weak output of the company.

The organization should care about both Absenteeism and presenteeism to ensure there is better productivity of the organization, and all employees are satisfied with their workstations.
