Income inequality is well propounded whereby its shows that even though adjunct professors make up over 51% in the US universities and colleges, they are paid $25,000 less as compared to their tenured counterparts. This level of inequality has pushed 21% of them to the brink of poverty. 21% of them do not meet their common basic needs and live below the poverty line. 100,000 of all adjunct professors are registered under the government assistance program and 7% of them are on government sponsored Medicaid. Subsequently, even though, the adjunct professors who are the simple majority, are paid less, as compared to their tenured counterparts, work over 40 hours a week result to working part time jobs such as Uber to meet their basic needs.
In regards to poverty, the article articulates that 21% of the adjunct professors live below the poverty line. Some are registered under the government assistance program and 7% of them are on government sponsored Medicaid. This shows that even though adjunct professors work over 40 hours a week their level of poverty is increasing by the day due to the persistent prevalence of income inequality. The above statistics data effectively shoes that adjunct professors are more prone to poverty as opposed to their tenured counterparts. This is because tenured professors are given employment as a result of their employment; however, the same benefits are not extended to the adjunct professors.
The fight for income has been a problem over the five years and it seems to be discussed in the coming election .College enrolment is also going high and the tuition is almost becoming a sure bet .Preferably a PHD was not guarantee for great living it actually did not mean that you will get well at all. Parents who pay fee for their children should complain on the current education system. The students should be playing role of needing their right of education. The law makers should not should allocate funds to learning institution to profit those ones which leave students without enough education.

Parents should understand that a good teacher is very important. Money should not only be given to other institution and professionals who do not offer value to our public like teachers. We should pay our teachers in colleges well and improving their salary motivates them too. If we keenly observe this we will come to understand that our teachers also get transformed in the way they are doing their services.
