Introduction

Painting like the Monalisa has attracted may people. The famous Leonardo da Vinci did a classical masterpiece. This is what attracted me to start painting. The Pasadena community have an appreciation of classical paintings. There is a new generation of painters dubbed the Contemporary painters of Pasadena. The aim is to ensure the continuity of a painting culture. I was attracted to the group because of the charitable culture.    As a painter in Pasadena, my responsibility entails coming up with new paintings and organizing for the exhibition of the paintings.

From 1900, Pasadena has been the hub for a painting exhibition in California. The Pasedinian community has a culture that appreciates paintings. The famous Monalisa painting was showcased in the municipal hall last year. This is one of the portraits that has attracted numerous painters across the country. With the hopes of creating a masterpiece of art, there has been an influx of painter. In the past decade, the number of the exhibition has been in the rise (Potter 35). This is a sign that more and more residents of Pasadena are taking in painting as a form of art. At least once a month we hold an exhibition in the municipal hall. For charitable events, the town’s mayor facilitates our activities.

As part of the Contemporary painters of Pasadena, being mandated to organize for exhibitions across the city. Apart from the monthly display that we have at the municipal hall, I coordinate with charitable organizations that want to raise funds or create awareness. Last year I successfully made a deal with the administration of the town of carrying our activities in the municipal hall at no charge. This is a great opportunity where new and resident’s painters showcase their art to the public. I also use this platform to further my passion for painting. In my docket am also responsible for looking for new organizations to partner. Negotiate on the dealings and ensure that we have potential sponsors.

I feel that painters in Pasadena have the responsibility of furthering the culture of art. Through art, people can connect and bond. In our case, our Contemporary group painters of Pasadena has attracted painters of different backgrounds. The city of Pasadena is known for its diverse cultural representation. All this is thanks to the appreciation of painting art. I painters in the city should be able to create a platform for new entrants, they should mentor than to the best of their capacity. For instance, different painters have a different motivation for painting. The resident painters guide the new ones on how to harness their imagination and tap into their creativity. At the end of the day growth as a painter is the goal.

To have a community that appreciates painting as an art has supported our group. The people of Pasadena always show up each time we hold an exhibition. The attendance comes to purchase a piece of art, some need information and details of being a good painter, and others come to see the talent that young Pasedinian have. In private events, attendance mostly comes to participate in raising money or awareness — another fond of art purchase fantastic paintings. The presence of a kind of picture is enough to strike a conversation. Thus, I have to ensure that the best of the best artworks are displayed.

In public functions, our promoter is the town administration. When the mayor needs to talk to his people, we facilitate the event. My role is to liaise with the town administrator. I’m able to know what activities are lined up. From this, I organize which artwork to showcase during the event. This has been an excellent way exhibiting. From these events, we have been able to sell some of our artworks cumulatively for over $1000 in a sitting. I look for private functions and try to pitch to them. I have been successful in over a dozen private services. Some of the individual clients have become our sponsors.

To conclude, paintings of artworks has is part of the Pasedinian community. To play a significant role in society’s culture, I had to participate in the events that shape my view of the world (Stocker 160). Taking, for instance, through my role in the Contemporary painters of Pasadena, I have been able to meet some celebrities. I see myself making a career out of paintings and event organizing. The Pasedinian community is a playground for me to learn and grow myself.
